Kyo : "But your life is basically like a vacation throughout the entire year!" Shigure : "No no. It's different from the so-called 'the summer vacation.' When you become a member of the society, you'll understand." As she begins to iron some clothes, Tohru says she has so much summer homework to do, to which Shigure advises to copy the perfect work of Yuki, much to Kyo's dismay. Kyo : "What's so perfect about him? He's only creepy like a robot. He's really just a boring guy... geck!" Yuki : "Better than being an idiot..." Two are about to get it on again, which Tohru tries to stop it. Tohru : "Ah... both of you, please stop fighting!" Kyo : "You stop, too!" Tohru : "Ahh, sorry!" Kyo : "Fine, just stop swinging that thing around!" Yuki is wearing his school uniform, which he explains that he is about to go to school to take care of the student council. But much to Tohru's surprise, Yuki says he hasn't met other members of the new council, because the previous president kept changing the roster to find the best people(he's the one who is head over the heel over Yuki...)... Yuki leaves, and Shigure says... Shigure : "But still, I'm so looking forward to this summer to see how much progress you guys would make." Kyo : "What's that?" Shigure : "I mean since you guys should... get a little more intimate, and that's great." Kyo : "...so what?" Shigure : "Dense! You're so dense it's like a devil(what does a devil and being dense has anything to do with it...?)! Dense! Really dense! A man like you doesn't deserve to enjoy the summer! Get your stuffs and get out of here!" Kyo : "I don't get it at all!" Tohru comes in, wondering what's going on. Shigure : "Tohru, it's no good! Kyo-kun is hopeless! He doesn't have a future, like I do! Don't get near him!" Kyo : "I can see that you're making me an idiot... Why you...!" As Yuki is walking to school, he remembers what Kyo said. Kyo : 'a boring guy.' Yuki : "...I already know that..." Yuki arrives at school, and goes to the student council room. He finds that Makoto(the previous president) is not there, but in the room inside, he finds a girl panting, with documents all around the floor. The girl notices Yuki, and stands up and apologizes, saying she'll clean it. Yuki sees the room and thinks someone must have been rapaging in the room or something. He asks the girl if she is feeling sick. But she steps away from Yuki's hand, and goes to the next room to call out someone called Manabe. The girl : "Someone is here." Manabe : "Mmm... I'll wake up when an alien comes." The girl : "Souma Yuki came." Manabe : "......WAAAHHHHHHH?!" Manabe is a boy with black hair. He quickly gets up. He sees the mess in the room and says "Machi, you did it again?!" Then he shouts "ah!" which startles Yuki, but he simply starts to introduce himself. His name is Manabe Kageru, although others call him "Manabe" or "Manabe-kun" or "Nabe-kun" or "Kageru" or "hey there" or... but he himself prefers to be called by something more drastice, like "Shou"(I know, it has nothing to do with his real name...), despite the fact that no one ever does. He doesn't even give Yuki to introduce himself, saying he already knows about him. He says he's in Class 2-A, and the girl is a freshman, and her name is Kuragi Machi. Manabe : "Ah, that's right." "I'm the Black!" Yuki : "Huh? You're... the black?" 'What, your coffee? Or your personality?' Manabe : "Yeah, absolutely! I can never give up on this! I beg you! Then, since I said all I had to say, I'm gonna sleep!" Yuki : "So...?! Won't you please tell me what you guys are doing here already?" Manabe : "Huh? I told you, I'm Manabe..." Yuki : "Not that!" 'Don't tell me they are...' Kuragi : "Manabe, you didn't tell him what our role is." Manabe : "Ah! Yes, yes! I'm the vice-president! And she's to be the accountant, already decided! In other words, we're to work under you! Well, nice to meet you!" Yuki : 'Is this going to work...?!' Manabe : "Don't worry, we'll follow any order you give out, so tell us anything you wish to say! ...now then I'm gonna sleep some more, so please take care of the rest~" Yuki : 'Hey!' Now, Yuki is worried. Manabe's attitudes and words and actions remind him of someone. Someone that says one thing and does another. Someone who is unconcerned of others. In other words... Aya's face on the background : Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! Yuki : "It's HIS personality...!" Then Makoto arrives, who sees that the two had met Yuki, and asks Yuki how he thought about them. Yuki : "............." Makoto : "Ohh, you're so happy even to speak?! All my work is rewarded! I will find more elites for the other two position, so you can feel at ease as if you're on a huge ship!" Yuki : "...you changed a roster after a roster... you say? My my... how exciting..." Makoto : "This Takei Makoto shall do my best in the name of Yuki-kun!" Suddenly a cellphone rings. It's Manabe's. Manabe startles and gets ready to leave, because he'd be late for his part-time job. He then drags Yuki out with him, saying "see me off!" Takei soon follows them, leaving Kuragi alone in the room. Manabe complains that he's too busy with his part-time job. Yuki asks why then he joined the council. Manabe : "Because I got captivated by the name 'the Academy Defence Army"(that's what Takei Makoto named his council...)." ...apparently, he likes those sci-fi action shows(you know, ones like Power Rangers?). So when he heard that the student council is also called(only by the president and his few followers...) 'the Academy Defence Army', he jumped in. Manabe : "If then, I wanna be the Black! It sounds like an outlaw, doesn't it?"(yes, that's what he meant by him being "the Black" before... He's "the Black Ranger...") Manabe then says Yuki should be the Red, since he's the leader. But he leans in and says... Manabe : "But your image is different. If I have to pick one... Maybe the Pink? Yuki-chan. ...you really have a girl's face. :)" Yuki startles with a blush! Yuki : -_-+++++ 'I hate this guy...!' "Sorry... that I have a girly face...!" But surprisingly, Manabe seems a bit surprised. He laughs and says "What do you know, you're an interesting guy." Yuki looks surprised at this. Manabe apologizes for upsetting him, and parts away after thanking Yuki for seeing him off. Back in the council room, Makoto talks about how great those two are, saying they might appear a little bit abnormal, but they still have great ability(he also says Manabe is someone who is a perfect example of the phrase "a genius and an idiot is a paper away"... ^^;;). Back home, Yuki relates to Tohru about the two people. He says both of them were as weird as the Juunishi members. He isn't so looking forward to be the leader for those guys, but... Yuki : "I was a bit shocked... It was the first time I ever heard anything like that. So I was a little... happy. ...I think." Tohru : "...I'd look forward to it. There must be hard things waiting... I think, but there must be also many joyful things waiting... I can feel it." Yuki : "...I see. I'll do my best." Yuki's narration : Because even the smallest words can hurt, or save you.
