Summaries for Chaps 46-47

Ch 46
Mayuko tells her class about the parent-teacher one-on-one meeting 
about students' future(in Japan, students have to write down his or 
her career goal after they graduate from high school, and the parents 
are asked to participate in decision making process). While Tohru 
considers asking her grandfather for the role, Arisa goes berserk 
JUST BECAUSE she is hungry, and kicks Kyo's desk JUST BECAUSE it's 
easy to kick. After a small confrontation, they all gather around to 
have lunch.

Arisa asks Tohru about what is her plan for the future, and Tohru 
tells others that she plans to get a job after the high school to be 
independent. But Arisa hints about Tohru being a bride for someone, 
to which Saki replies, "oh my. Then I should get a job, instead of 
going to the university."(I was also confused at this, but I think 
she's saying this because 1. Saki probably doesn't want to go to 
university anyway. and 2. Saki considers herself like a mother 
figure to Tohru, so if Tohru was to get married, she'd have to earn 
some money for Tohru's wedding or something... ^^;; Just my guesses)

Then Saki pops the question.
Saki : "Let's se... Which one of these two shall it be?"
Yuki, Kyo : "Hah?!"
Arisa : "Hey, what? It looks like they are saying Tohru isn't good 
enough for them..." -_-+++++++
Yuki : "We didn't mean..."
Saki : "Oh, then is it a challenge?" -_-+++++++
Kyo : "Why are you making up words to pick a fight?!"

Arisa then mentions about a boy whom she met at her part-time job. 
When asked what kind of a person he is, she answers "he's somewhat 
like Tohru, I guess..."

Later at Kazuma's dojo, after sending his students home, Kazuma asks 
Kyo if he wants to say something, since he has been staring at Kazuma 
for a while. Kyo frantically denies the allegation, to which Kazuma 
replies "but you always followed me around, staring at me, whenever 
you have something to ask or say." Kyo again denies, and runs out 
embarassed, much to Kazuma's confusion.

At the building Tohru works, Momiji and Tohru talks about their 
future plan. Momiji says his dream is to be "a columnist" although 
it might be too difficult for him, to which all the cleaning ladies 
jump in to say they believe in him...(just because he's so cute... 
^^;;)

Yuki is taking Tohru home. Tohru talks about how Momiji told her 
about his dream, and how eager he was about it. But Yuki correctly 
guess that Momiji himself admitted that it might be "too difficult" 
for him. Yuki : "...since there are so many things to fight 
against..." Tohru is confused and worried, but can't bring herself 
to ask about more.

Later at night, Tohru finds Kyo trying to make some noodles for a 
snack, and offers to cook him some. After a brief discussion about 
Kazuma, Tohru asks if Kyo is planning to inherit Kazuma's dojo, to 
which Kyo answers skeptically, since he has the cat's curse. But he 
says if Kazuma agrees, he'll do anything he can. But he briefly 
remembers Akito's words, "...until you die."(probably at the end of 
another sentence, which isn't told.)

Kyo goes on. "Before as the one cursed by the cat's spirit, I myself 
is confused about what to do when going out into the 
society... ...<cut>... How about you? Aren't you worried? Your 
plan to get a job was to help your mother when she was alive. But 
now that she has passed away, aren't you a little bit worried about 
your future?"

Tohru startles a bit. "Not at all. I still plan to work, even 
though I'm alone..."

Then it hits her. 'Sometimes I do get worried. When I think about 
me 3 years after the graduation, or 10 years later... ...<cut>... I 
don't know whom to talk to, but it feels so uncertain and sad, and 
becomes worried for some reason... Is this what Yuki-kun was trying 
to let me know?'

Even in tears, Tohru still reminds Kyo that Kazuma is probably 
waiting for Kyo to say those words. Kyo quietly listens and smiles, 
comforting Tohru(ohhhhhh! Kyo, you have grown up!).

Shigure then appears and joins in the conversation, referring to 
doing laundry as an example. "What if you were surrounded by a 
mountain of laundry? ...<cut>... Of course you'll start with ones 
under your feet. But if you just concentrate on what to do first, 
you'll end up only seeing what is in front of you at the 
moment. ...<cut>... Being uncertain will hurt your heart. Then 
take a break. Reading books. watching TV, or eating noodles with 
everyone. Ah, isn't it a wonderful story? I wonder why I want to 
eat some noodles as the reward? Oh, I want some tea too!"
Kyo : "So you just wanted to eat some noodles?!"

Tohru then knocks on Yuki's door. "I... I am also very uncertain 
about my future. So... let's eat noodles together!"

Of course this confuses Yuki a little, but he still goes down to eat 
the wonderful noodles cooked by Tohru. :)


Ch 47
Yuki's mother(Yes, it's her...) : '...what if it's true? What if you 
were just a TOOL to me?'

Yuki awakes from the dream, and goes to wash his face... and Ayame 
appears. "...<cut>...(DON'T ask me to write down ALL what he said) 
I promise to stay with you all day, Yuki! Then bye!"
Yuki : "As soon as you promise?!" -.-+++

This time Ayame brought peaches. After the typical ordering Tohru 
around, getting Yuki mad, another love-love joke with Shigure, Ayame 
tells Yuki why he came to visit him.
Ayame : "I guess I should at least bring a gift, huh?"
...or at least he tried to(or maybe not...). Yuki gets mad again, 
and leaves, which Ayame soon follows. Shigure then tells Tohru, "the 
crab(which Ayame brought in his last visit) and peaches were probably 
what Yuki liked when he was young."

Yuki is on his way to his "secret base", but Ayame is still following 
him, much to his distress. But the hot temperature makes Ayame 
transfrom, and on top of that Yuki accidentally tears his clothes. 
As Yuki sews his clothes back, Ayame finally reveals to Yuki the true 
reason of his visit : to tell Yuki that Ayame is going to attend the 
parent-teacher meeting. Yuki turns pale.

Yuki : "Forget it. Our parents are probably coming."
Ayame : "But you didn't even tell them. Beside, you don't like our 
parents much, do you?"
Yuki : "...it's not that I don' t like them. I just don't expect or 
hope anything from them. I don't intend to have any hope for the 
parents who sold me out for their benefit, or just used me as a 
tool..."

Ayame then remembers his past... 'So was I...' (remembering seeing 
Yuki's mother abusing Yuki, but he himself just turning away) 'I had 
also sold you out for my own freedom...'
(one minor note : during Ayame's memory scene... a woman is shown 
crying. I don't know if this is an old character in younger age, or 
a brand new character... So don't ask me who she is. ^^;;)
'How foolish of me, to have abandoned you.'
Mine : 'Are you sad?'
'I am sad...'

But Yuki keeps on talking, "But... I can't keep on running away, so 
I'm going to call our parents. It's just that... since I haven't 
decided anything yet... I have to make a sure decision, so that they 
may not be able to call me a failure."

Yet Ayame still offers to go to the meeting, much to Yuki's 
distress. Then Ayame tells Yuki why he decided to become a designer, 
as he sews up Yuki's torn clothes. "...because I wanted to make 
something. ...<cut>... It could have been anything. It just 
happens that I had a knack at making clothes, but a cooking might 
have done just as well. I just wanted to prove to myself that I had 
power to make "something." That I can make something with shape with 
my own hands, that there are things that I do not have in myself, to 
verify those, I had to make something. Even to someone like me, 
there is someone who is willing to stay at my side, so it's okay. 
You're not as alone as you think."

Ayame then shows the finished product of his labor... Yuki's clothes 
with the word "belongs to the older brother" embroidered on the 
back. Yuki is upset again, but he still says "I think you're so 
silly... but I don't think you're unwise."
Ayame : "...listen to this, Tori-san!"(on his cellphone)
Yuki : "Don't tell Hatori every single thing!!" -_-+++
Ayame : 'Too bad, Father and Mother. You have no idea what a 
wonderful child Yuki is...'

Back at the house, Shigure laughs his head off at the words on the 
back of Yuki's clothes.
Ayame : "A good chance. I'll embroider something for Tohru-kun and 
Kyonkichi, too."
Tohru : "Eh?"
Kyo : "No thanks! Don't!"
Ayame : "No need to be sorry. I'm in good mood today. As you wish, 
I shall embroider "belongs to Kagura" on your back."
Kyo : "Don't embroider anything! Don't get near me! Don't touch 
me!!"

Tohru : "...these peaches are so tasty."
Yuki : "Yes."

Ayame : "I'll embroider "belong to Yuki" on Tohru-kun's! Now, take 
it off!"
Tohru : "EHHHHHH?!"
Yuki, Kyo : "Stop!!!"
